In an attempt to use our obligation economy to my advantage (i.e. hey, it's the end of the year and that means we have to buy presents for people we know!), here's a gentle electronic reminder that American Grunt is in fact a gift you can purchase for the people who felt obligated to buy something for you, so you don't feel like an unappreciative doofus who didn't return the favor. And you can say things like, "I swear this book is good. Thanks for the gift card to the Cheesecake Factory, which is where I assume cheesecakes are nailed together and loaded onto forklifts by the type of hardworkin' blue collar Americans you'll find in the very pages I bought for you!"

Thanks to everyone who has reached out with ideas on how to promote the book. I assure you I am exploring (and sometimes even attempting) all of them.
