You are Just One Unbearable Truth Away from the Next Person You are Meant to Be
Adopt behaviors of the most successful change influencers.

Ugh. I hate it more than you know, but they’re quitters.
Over the weekend, I listened ad-nauseum to several interviews with individuals I call change deviants. Change deviants jump into meaningful life changes with a vigor most find annoying. These change mutants weren’t born with special powers. Instead, they expertly cross-train on behaviors most critical for change. The goal of my book is to codify what makes them successful and create a short-cut for people desiring change in their lives.
Speaking of short-cuts, I wanted to SHIFT +DELETE my interview notes from this weekend enlightening me to an inconvenient truth: change deviants are quitters.
Let’s take a quick detour into my psyche so you can understand why this truth is uncomfortable:
I like to glorify busy because it makes me feel important. My entire life is the anti-Millennial anthem (ironic coming from a Millennial).
It sounds like this:
You can’t win by doing your best. There are no participation pleasantries in my game. Those rainbow-colored ribbons are for pansies. Push harder. Work harder. Do more. Never quit. Quitters never win. Outwork everybody. Show up first and leave last. Do whatever it takes. Self-sacrifice, self-sacrifice & self-sacrifice. Look really busy while repeating this mantra.
For those of you who pre-ordered my book through Publishizer, there are no refunds (please don’t ask Guy Vincent or Lee Constantine for your money back because it really makes me look bad and clearly my psyche can't handle it).
However, I promise everything I learn-we will practice together.
So, here’s a sneak peek into the secret change deviant sauce:
1) Change deviants have a clear vision: Change deviants have a crystal-clear vision of the change they want to make. This vivid description of future state drives everything they do.
2) Change deviants use their vision to align priorities. If something detracts from their change vision, they quit it. They aren’t spontaneous quitters (i.e. I had a bad week at work, the clients I worked with were real jerks and now I’m quitting). They are thoughtful and planned quitters.
This week I’m going to #quitlikeadeviant and I don't mean laundry (because I clearly quit doing that weeks ago).
I want to finish this book and that will never happen if I don’t quit some things.
I invite you to quit one thing with me this week that isn’t serving your bigger why.
Liesl
