This picture has hung on my refrigerator for over 5 years-always in the same spot. The edges are starting to fold from the water damage.  This picture always served as a reminder for why I got up and went to Cerner everyday. It was the leadership.

 I realize Neal certainly didn't remember this moment, but for me it was life-changing. He rushed into the Cerner Sporting KC suite that night, drinks in hand and playfully started posing.

Next week, I'll begin work on Neal's chapter in Change Deviants: The exit strategy to playing it safe. I'll be asking some of the people who knew him best about the life of change he so willingly embraced.  Neal-I promise to get it right. Cheers to you.
