Synopsis

My Little Prayer Book offers a timely solution to a growing issue in today’s fast-paced world - helping children develop a strong spiritual foundation amidst the distractions of modern life. With the rise of digital media and busy schedules, many families find it difficult to instill daily prayer habits and a connection to faith in their children. A 2022 Pew Research study found that only 29% of American families with children regularly participate in religious activities, a significant decline from previous decades. This decline is often attributed to competing demands on parents’ time and the overwhelming amount of digital content that diverts children’s attention away from spiritual practices. There is a real need for accessible and engaging resources that can help bridge this gap, encouraging young children to embrace faith and prayer in a way that fits into modern family life.

My Little Prayer Book is the perfect tool for parents who want to introduce prayer into their children’s lives. This beautifully illustrated book is designed to make prayer simple, engaging, and relatable for children, offering short, easy-to-understand prayers that cover a range of everyday themes. From prayers for gratitude to prayers for guidance, this book provides children with meaningful words they can relate to and repeat on their own. Each prayer is accompanied by thoughtful illustrations, encouraging interaction and conversations between parents and children. Key takeaways from the book include:

  • A collection of daily prayers written in rhyming language children can easily grasp.
  • Illustrations that capture children's attention while reinforcing the message of each prayer

As a lifelong lover of literature, having grown up in the library with a research librarian mother, I’ve spent my life surrounded by books and stories that shape both the mind and the soul. My passion for nurturing young readers and helping them grow spiritually has been a driving force behind my recent work. As a new author of children’s books, and now having a few of my works  accepted for publication, I’d like to dedicate this book to sharing the importance of faith with families.

My Little Prayer Book is designed to give children the spiritual tools they need to navigate their world from an early age.

My First Good Morning Prayer
I open my eyes to this new day
And pray it blessed in every way
Because the Lord cares for His own
I shall not fear the great unknown
For you, oh Lord, are my strong tower
And safe will keep me every hour

Help me spread
Some joy today
To friends and strangers
Come what may
Teach me kindness
Make me wise
Underneath
Your sunny skies

My Second Good Night Prayer
The robin sings
At evening time
And the nightjar
Calls me to bed
This will be
My bed-time rhyme
And I am just
A sleepy-head
