Abriella Milazzo received her degree in Environmental Science and Psychology. Spending over a decade exploring the unknown and traveling to faraway places, she decided to bring that kind of curiosity and exploration into the classroom. This is where the idea for My Pet Bug came to life, when she was studying to become a certified Montessori teacher. Her mission is to spread awareness that learning can be fun when taught in a hands-on way!

Abriella Milazzo, a New York native, raised in Tampa, Florida and has been wandering the globe ever since. As a certified yoga instructor and early childhood montessori educator she joyfully introduces the magic of coexisting with nature to young minds and adults alike! She effortlessly makes learning a fun process through engaging learning experiences, mentoring mindfulness, fueling creative expression & patiently promoting the practice of loving unconditionally for all of life, yes, even caring for beings as small as bugs!

She enjoys sharing her knowledge in many different settings throughout her days whether it be in a classroom, at a studio, on the web or surrounded by nature. She infuses creativity into her community through offering art & yoga classes, parties and workshops of all kinds. Her passion for storytelling and empowering others to tap into the power of divine light that resides within fuels her artistry. When she is not actively pursuing her dreams you can often find her exploring outdoors, playing in dirt a.k.a. gardening or cuddling with her two favorite furry friends Lynkx & Matilda.

Update #2 - Buggy on the Weekend! April 27, 2024

Happy Saturday!

Abriella here. This morning I woke up excited to work on more steps to complete behind the scenes, before this My Pet Bug book - arrives at your doorstep. The wait will be worth it- it will most definitely be a family fun treat!

I decided to go on Amazon this morning just to see…search MY PET BUG? Oh my, can it really be?! I am really starting to see the finish line over here. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. 

Thank you for your support. It means so much to me. This story I wrote for an assignment in the middle of the night 3 years ago has become so much more than just that in my life. I believe it has something to do with this- maybe it is what I needed during that time in MY life around the age of 3-5. 

Here’s a new piece:
Reading has always been a joy to me but when I got into the classroom and began teaching the children how to read I started to wonder…how did I learn how to do this? I couldn’t remember. Wouldn’t it be cool to remember? Even better, the exact moment you crossed over the bridge…into reading on your own. You would never be the same again, a transformation has occurred.

My hope is that bringing this book to life on a bigger scale will help more children now and our future generations ease into reading with a trusted friend by their side (their pet bug) that will help them to learn how to read, opening their eyes up to a whole new world to better see! Can you imagine what the world would be like if young children, like your own or ones you know, were reading with more ease (at a younger age) and loving it too? How would that unfold in their every day way of being? How would that impact humanity as a whole? 

These are all big ideas I began to wonder, once inspired by a special bug.  

Learning IS FUN when you have the right tools. In the coming days, you too will have a tool to give a child near you. Publisher Bright Communications and I are just a few steps away from completion and I am thrilled to say it is almost ALIVE and in your hands soon! I will continue to keep you updated along the way.
