An ex corporate girl’s guide from the rat race to joy and fulfilment
Irreverent, yet friendly, inspiring, yet real, vulnerable, yet courageous, this book encourages you to question life’s assumptions and the expectations you’ve been fed.

Hello Everyone!
It's so lovely to be back in your inbox with another update.
I spoke to Nick once again this morning. He is working damn hard on this book for us. Honestly. I couldn't have asked for a better editor and I don't think I realised that exactly until he was sharing his passion for creating the cover and I saw just how detail oriented he was over it. He wants this to have its best chance out in the world just as much as I do. He has made it personal and that I have huge respect for.
So, yes, we have a cover. And it's beautiful. With a few carefully selected images and his magical program, we've really got a look and feel that is worthy of the words.
Nick also created the format for the interior this last week. Once I handed it over to him, he really went to work on refining the interior look alongside the words.
As for the words themselves, it's actually done. Argh!
I had a BIG list of questions this morning for him such as, "have I written too much about this?" and "do I repeat myself on that?" You know, the usual questioning-yourself-crazy.
He then gave me this quote by Paul Valery, "A poem is never finished, only abandoned."
And then he said this to me, "Lynda, a book is an artifact of time, which you will always be moving past. It's natural to want to freeze. But you will outgrow it daily. There is no end to that so it's best to make a decision and draw a line in the sand. It's natural that you're feeling this way. Every author does. But I think the book is great right now, as it is. Nothing needs to change."
His reassuring words have allowed me to let go even more.
Next steps; the book gets handed over to a proof reader once I do small things like write my bio, acknowledgements section and back of book blurb. I plan on getting to that this weekend!
Thank you all again for you support.
With love
Lynda
