Hello All,
Just a quick update.
The book is progressing quickly now that the election cycle is winding down and I have more time to devote to this amazing story. I definitely underestimated the length by around 10,000 words. I thought it would come it at around 85,000, but I've already hit that point and have so much more to write. My guess is that it will be complete and ready for the editor at around 95,000 words. I'm sure our editor will pare that down a bit so I would rather give her more to work with. I will continue to post updates and excerpts as I write.
Here's a rule of thumb: A typical paperback has about 250 words per page. That means the finished book in paperback will be just under 400 pages.
Thanks!
Mitch
