Harris, takes place in future day New York City, Anerica. The main characters are the twins Madison Henry, Markus Henry 17, Thomas Vickson 18, and Cory Carter 16. The characters are trying to survive the apocalyptic world, one’s father is the President of the city they all live in, one is in a group that wants to see the government fall, and two are the only ones in the world who are twins. By the end of the story the main character Madison learned that speaking up can save more lives than not speaking up, she had to find that out the hard way. Speaking up is a big issue that everyone faces in their life if one sees something and doesn't say anything it could affect someone in the long run. Some people believe in minding their business, if they don't see it, it didn't happen. But they're wrong, it still happened.
Furthermore, the story is set in the aftermath of the big nuclear war that happened on 4th of July in the year 2015. Five hundred and twenty years later two twins were born for the first time in ages on November 29th. The new government has taken over America calling it Anerica, the new America. A group who is against the five Presidents and their rules decide to take matters into their own hands by any means necessary. The President of New York city believes his people are out to get him, so he has to show them no mercy in order for them to know who is in control.
The character, Madison Henry, is a normal teenage girl, she does normal girl activities like dancing, going on her social media, hearing embarrassing stories about when she and her brother were little. She is friendly to whoever is friendly back to her, she won’t stop herself from meeting new people who could possibly be her new friend. Her motivation is her family, more so her grandfather. Madison struggles with being Bourgeois, the Proletariat doesn’t like them neither does the Aristocracy, coming from grandparents who live in the Aristocracy and going to a university that's for only Aristocracy people is hard for her not to mention she’s dating the President’s son. The main problem she faces is trying not to die, President Vickson is a vicious man who will stop at nothing to make sure his enemies are dead, she recently found out she’s his enemy by an accidental association with the defiant group. He takes matters into his own hands, taking someone who held a big part in Madison’s heart because she wouldn’t speak up on the information she knew about the group. To avenge the one she lost, she vowed to help the group to take on the President and his men on New Year’s Day.
The targeted group that this series will definitely attract is young adult and new adults, anyone who like books with twist and discovering mysterious that lie within the story. The love triangle isn’t that much of a cliché, but it will definitely attract the girls or guys who are a sucker for it. There are many family moments that will definitely interest anyone who is very big on family, Anerica does focus on the importance of family.
I'm originally from New York City, Queens to be exact and thats when i decided that i wanted to write a book. Anerica is more than just a book to me, i've spent years working on it, five years, and along with it i have written unpublished titles that i'm waiting to bring to the world. I have recently self-published Anerica by myself with no help on Amazon and just came to the realization that I would probably be better off if i had someone to represent me.
