FIRST OF ALL...thank you from the bottom of my nerdy heart for supporting my dream. I've had people say, "why don't you just get another agent?"  Well, that's hard to explain. Agents do make connecting with publishers much easier, that's true. However, they only represent the projects that are guaranteed (IE, things that are like everything else.)  Especially now, when publishing is so compacted and three big companies own pretty much all of the traditional imprints, it's almost impossible to get anything unique out there that way. 

That's why I've chosen to try this model. As a writer, it gives me a lot more control of my own project and career.  It's a risk, of course, but I am hoping that with supporters like you, I will find a great home for my book with a publisher that WANTS something different, and I will keep you posted as I travel down that road. 

What you can do for me now is this: I need to get 45 more preorders before April 11. If you can think of one or two people who you can directly message and suggest that they get on board with this project, that would help a lot. If you know of any would-be writers who might want to either get a consult with me or come stay at my Southern California home, there are two big-ticket bonuses that offer coaching and a weekend writing retreat.  

Whatever you do, know that I so, so appreciate your support, and I hope you love the book. I'm really proud of it.
