Most kids’ visions of becoming professional athletes or rock stars fade into adulthood. But one elite set of overachievers defied nearly impossible odds to turn both dreams into reality.

Season’s Greetings readers!
I hope you’ve been keeping in good health in these tricky times. I have two very exciting announcements for you.
The first is that 'Athletes Who Rock!' will be out on February 22 and is now available for pre-order!
Many of you have already purchased your copies during the Publishizer promotional campaigns (at quite a discount it turned out!) But if you’d like to share some holiday love with your friends and family, you can purchase further copies directly from my publisher on this link. Pre-orders are also available on Amazon and other major online book retailers.
Fifteen remarkable athlete-musicians participated for this project in total, encompassing a wide range of sporting professions, musical talents, nationalities and backgrounds.
Among them are perennial NBA All-Star and hip-hop artist Damian Lillard, Tennis Hall of Famer and platinum-selling French pop star Yannick Noah, and ex-Liverpool FC Women's player and Dua Lipa's hit songwriter Chelcee Grimes. A full list of the incredible participants is available on the publisher's website.
I should also explain that the subtitle for Athletes Who Rock! has been updated. The full title is now 'Athletes Who Rock! Stories of Sacrifice, Setbacks and Success in Sports, Music and Life,' which I believe is a more accurate descriptor of the rich interviews that fill these pages.
My second announcement, as indicated in my last update, is that I’m also soon releasing an e-book about Michael Jackson’s eventful year spent in Bahrain.
When the 'Sheikh met the King: The Complete Oral History of Michael Jackson’s Bizarre, Secretive Year in Bahrain' will be out on January 11 and is available for pre-order on Amazon now through this link.
You can read a snippet of the book from my story published in The Guardian here. You can also listen to an interview with me speaking about the book on Irish Radio here.
Many thanks again for all your kind and positive support over the past four years (yes, it’s been that long). Your impact has been immeasurable.
Wishing you and yours a very healthy and happy holiday season.
Warm regards,
Motez
