Being

How to BE, Better.

Ever hear someone say, "There's only so much I can do, I'm only human"? Human is what we do. Being is who we are.

Update #7 - Are the leaves changing colors where you live?! Sept. 16, 2020

Hi all, a thoughtful friend reached out, inquiring about their pre-order and I realized it's been a while since I sent out an update.  I hope everyone enjoyed their summer and was able to enjoy things that felt good and relaxing during this incredible time.

Jack Canfield told me I had a year.  I may have mentioned this before, but a man who has sold over 500 million books worldwide told me I had a year to write this book.  I presented the idea behind Being to him back in March, right when the pandemic was hitting and we were just starting to shut down.  It was the weirdest comment.  Of the other people attending his mastermind in Santa Barbara, no one else received such guidance or feedback.  It has stuck with me ever since; he basically told me that writing the book would take the rest of the year.  Turns out, he's mostly right.

I've been journaling a lot this summer.  Writing magazine articles and blog posts.  Letting the creative process happen.  Not a lot of the actual writing of the book.  Maybe my journals will become the book; I'm not sure.  They tell a really beautiful story, but it's also very personal.  I look to Nikki Sixx, one of my boyhood idols, from the band Motley Crue.  In his 2006 breathtaking book, The Heroin Diaries, he gets incredibly candid about his triumph over addiction.  It's inspiring, and the album he wrote to accompany the book is fantastic.  That helps me put it into perspective...even if the journals aren't the book, they're certainly going to contribute to it.

And that's the cool part; I have a good sense of the ending.  I just need to put the rest of the story together to get there, and I know by now I can't rush the process.  I'm so grateful for everyone who pledged their money to make this book a reality; I promise you, the book is going to be worth the wait!  Thanks for your continued patience and support.
