The importance of digital media no longer remains just as a social tool. Students use it for job seeking, freelancers looking for gigs, entrepreneurs to scale their ventures, corporates looking to connect with likeminded individuals - all behind what we all know as our digital profile. From it, we derive a person's credibility, perceived ability and value as a form of input towards our decision making process.

These are common questions we face daily but yet we are under the assumption that all profiles are equal and we just need to be there, lacking the know-how on what can we do to increase the appeal of our digital profiles to meet our objectives. This book changes that.

Having bootstrapped 8 companies within the region, consulting brands, mentoring startups and working closely with universities, I noticed a pattern that can be broken - perceptions, mindsets, habits, limitation of skills, and existing processes; together, can be overwhelming when done at one go. Starting at the age of 17, Jan has ventured into 8 businesses, a part time lecturer at the Asia Pacific University, a certified e-commerce consultant, published an academic journal during his Masters degree, sits on the Academic Advisory Board of three universities and have been actively sharing his experiences to students, startups and corporations in the region.

Jan's current foray with OpenMinds started in 2012 as MarTech consultancy company and bootstrapped his way into a multi-million dollar company with multiple subsidiaries across Asia Pacific, serving hundreds of renown brands globally.

His entrepreneurial experience also enabled him to mentor hundreds of startups in the region with Techstars and the Next50 Singapore initiative, to speak at various technology entrepreneurship and digital marketing events in universities, corporations, workshops and conferences, including twice on TEDx.
