Intimacy issues are widespread.
What if being a person with a disability made you more equipped to thrive in intimate relationships, rather than inhibited you?
And what if the skills I've learned from my lifelong physical disability could help all of us have stronger intimate relationships?

Dear friends and readers,
I have been in California for the past few weeks, leading corporate speaking engagements and finalizing the Dating Disability manuscript.
As many of you know, this book expands on an article I published in the Los Angeles Times in February 2022. It felt incredibly meaningful to submit the final copy while in Santa Monica—where the early drafts began—surrounded by a supportive circle of friends. (I even took a field trip to the little bungalow where I wrote the original article. You can see that moment in the embedded video!)
Tomorrow, I’m meeting with my publisher to confirm fall shipping dates for those of you who have already pre-ordered. If you didn’t pre-order last summer but would like to now, you can do that here!
In other news, I'm co-hosting a webinar next week on disability inclusion in the workplace with my good friends at Integral, an employee experience agency in NYC. if you're interested, you can sign up to attend through their portal.
I’ll keep you posted as we move into the final stages of publication. Thank you all for your continued support! I’ll be speaking at many organizations this summer in celebration of Disability Pride Month and coordinating several book talks at middle and high schools this fall. If you know a group that could benefit from hearing my story, feel free to reach out: info@ecgoodson.com.
Sending you the best in the week ahead!
Emily
