Synopsis

1) Our lives are cluttered with things we have bought but don't need and never use. It costs us time, money, and space to shop, consume, and store all the things.
2) A simple method to identify real needs, dematerialize the non-essentials, and digitize the essential to free up time, money, and space.
3) I've spent the past 15 years creating and living the Fewer better Things lifestyle. Today I own few physical things and have digitized everything essential to be accessible via the cloud. The result is a much lighter, richer, and more conscious life.

1106 Design provides book design, production, and publishing services for independent authors who seek all the quality of traditional publishing without forfeiting their rights and royalties in return. 1106 Design provides traditional publisher quality with one-stop, end-to-end services from copyediting to worldwide distribution. We operate just like a publisher with one difference: YOU maintain complete control of your book, your schedule, and most importantly, your payments.

In our model, distribution accounts are set up in your name. When a book is sold, the retailer takes a cut, the printing cost is deducted, and the balance is deposited directly into your bank account, never ours first. The difference can amount to several more dollars per book in net revenue to you. Our most popular package for non-fiction books, 50,000 words and under, including copyediting, cover design, interior layout, proofreading, eBook formatting, and distribution set up in your name is just $8,059. Fiction titles are slightly lower, $7,085.

Ingram is a rather large company with several different divisions and supplies books to bookstores and libraries in over 200 countries around the world. Ingram also has a print on demand digital printing company, Lightning Source. IngramSpark is the platform that combines those two services together. At IngramSpark, we work with authors and independent publishers to print their books for orders they need (no minimum order) and we have a way to list the books as available for sale to all of Ingram’s 39,000+ customers- distributors, bookstores, retail outlets, libraries, etc., so you never miss a sale. You would provide us with the print-ready digital files (one for the cover and one for the interior) and we print the books as they are sold through our distribution partner’s websites. We pay you for those sales approximately 90 days later. The compensation you earn is based on the retail price you set, minus the wholesale discount you offer our distribution partners, minus the print cost.

Per has the most amazing out look on live. His values are humane. His ideas are unexpected - grounded but they’ll reach the stars and be the best you. I learnt minimalism from per. How to live with little by choice and be contented. And how to be in the moment and see what the moment is teaching you. Can’t wait to read this book and find more surprising truths.

I wish to see you realize this pursuit to success. We’ve crosses path once while I was taking my Master’s in Hyper Island. Fresh with mind wide open, its been in pursuit of a trail seeking to make sense of a deeper meaning beyon words such as purpose-driven & human centric. I believe I’m close in understanding, now applying towards a better narrative to progress and would love to share and exchange our ideas so I too aspire in writing of its pursuit like you now! All the best!
