Hi Friends,

Can you believe that we are already halfway through April? 2021 is flying by and I am excited to give you an update. 

As you know, due to your support I ended up with 16 publishers interested in my book idea and since we talked last I have been hard at work researching and interviewing each of them. Boy oh boy, did I learn a lot. The publishing space is like the wild, wild, west and it was a lot of fun learning everything I learned along the way. 

After 20+ interviews I am excited to announce that I signed a book deal with Ballast Books about 3 weeks ago. I chose them because of their high-quality printing option and access to Engram Distribution. Engram is the largest distributor in our nation and with that connection, there is a chance (fingers crossed) that this book could find its way into brick and motor stores like Target, local book stores, museums, Barnes and Noble, Books a Million, and even Costco.

Already in 3 weeks Ballast Books and I have hit the ground running and have developed a timeline that puts the book in my hand in October and available in stores in November right before the holidays, THIS YEAR!

As you can probably imagine there is still a lot of work to do so I am heads down and collaborating with the strongest team I have ever put together to date. I have someone getting the first look at each chapter and completing the 1st round of edits, an awesome artist who is sketching images that showcase the emotion of each chapter for you, and even a badass photographer who will be capturing the book cover image and all of the marketing images for the book release marketing strategy. 

Meanwhile, I am on track to be done with my manuscript by June 1st so I am writing about a chapter per week right now. I have shared what I have so far with a few trusted friends and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
