Charmaine Loverin

Synopsis

Abuse is an empty word before it becomes a learned context or sadly, an experience! Education systems currently are missing a curriculum that teaches the word and context. Canadian statistics show that 3 in 5 girls and 1 in 6 boys face abuse and 93% of abuse is usually from someone children are supposed to trust. If abuse prevention education was taught early to kids, starting at reading ages, 5 years old we, as a national community, would see reduced victims, early offenders, youth mental health, addiction, trafficking even suicide. By legislating for a new and mandated law for an Abuse Awareness and Prevention Week in our schools, we as a nation can reshape the safety and future for our kids and their kids!

Sexual assault victims face intimidation and re-victimization with the current outdated Canadian Justice platform. It’s policies and rules solely protects the rights for “innocent till proven guilty,” which sadly result into the victims feeling re-victimized, intimidated, quitting, with expensive post mental health recovery costs even tragically suicide. If we, as community ruthlessly stand and hold the Canadian Justice system account to uphold a full public review and change for more current policies and rules, together we can see positive support and change for all victims!

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (also known as ALS, Lou Gehrig’s disease, or motor neurone disease) is a disease that gradually paralyzes people because the brain is no longer able to communicate with the muscles of the body that we are typically able to move at will. Over time, as the muscles of the body break down, someone living with ALS will lose the ability to walk, talk, eat, swallow, and eventually breathe. Every 90 minutes someone is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes someone dies from ALS, there is no cure with a prognosis of only 2-5 years. Through global urgency for awareness, education and funding a cure is possible and many lives can be saved.

I'm Charmaine Loverin, Founder of the Centre for Mental Health Transformation (CFMHT) and Loverin’s Law. I grew up in a blue collar small town as a bisexual, C-average student. School was tough - I was one of those kids bullied - and my home life I was physically, emotionally, mentally, and sexually abused. After graduating high school at 17, I left for the big city and my new home, Toronto! I would quickly make new friends, boyfriends, and would venture into all kinds of jobs that would shape and influence my life in big ways. The next 30 years, I would change my career on two separate spectrums from marketing to mental health - leading two companies to award-winning status and prestige. At 34, I became a mom to two gems who would teach me how to live with vulnerability, wonderment, transparency and truth. I continued to live “love” as I knew it to be, loving beautiful people with two polar sides: one side full of love and fun, and the other, intermittent with familiar childhood memories of harm. Being a mom, combined with my past, it all drove a deeper responsibility for reshaping abuse prevention and lead me to ultimately creating the initiative known as Loverin's Law. Then at 52, God would give me his final and toughest plan. It’s now a battle against time, uplifting and leaving behind a whole life to design a new life into living healing or dying with ALS.

This is a real life story that will explore what it means to truly have faith and, this book aims to reveal those inevitable miracles that appear when we choose to have faith and believe.

WTF?!” differs because it’s a personal life story riddled in detours of trauma, leaning on faith. Since childhood “though shall not lie” gets confronting when living in a life of lies, I decide for good, being a mom to live that testament even if it means exposing ugly secrets! God has his plan through me! It’s raw, real and revealing!
  • No one ever asked, Author, Katie Ganshert, Published April 3rd 2018 by WaterBrook | How God? It is one woman’s personal journey to reshape the future of all kids in time she know longer thought she had now diagnosed with the most rare and severe terminal illness. It’s chilling, eventful and inspiring.
  • Daring Greatly, Author, Dr. Brene Brown, Published September 11, 2012 by Avery | God? WTF?! Charmaine Loverin

About the author

Charmaine is a proud mother of two, survivor of child abuse, sexual assault and currently living with ALS, aka Lou Gherigs Disease.

While battling almost three years with ALS, bravely choosing medically assisted death, she courageously sits waiting trial for a sexual assault that happened in 2017 and stands firmly with thousands of supporting Ontarian’s to see the near ten year initiative “Loverin’s Law” become Law!

Will Charmaine walk a miracle into a cure for ALS? Will the pandemic derail the trial and the Law again? Will Charmaine get to see one last Caribbean trip with her kids? What’s God’s plan?

1106 Design, LLC

Dear Author,

You worked hard to write your manuscript; finally, it's ready to release. You know that expert assistance is needed, but perhaps you didn’t realize that working with a publisher is no longer necessary—especially publishers who charge fees to produce your book upfront and "share" more of your revenue whenever a book is sold.

1106 Design is an author services company. We offer all the editorial and design services you’d expect from a publisher, transforming your manuscript into a market-ready book. But here's the difference: we help you secure print-on-demand printing and worldwide distribution in your name. This means you earn several dollars more for every book sold instead of a meager “royalty.”

We understand that your book is not just a passion project but also a potential source of income. That's why we offer a range of services tailored to your needs at affordable prices. Depending on your manuscript's word count and complexity, our packages range from $4,000 to $10,000. And here's the best part: after this one-time investment, every penny of net revenue from book sales goes directly to you, never to us.

If this sounds like a better way to publish your book, I invite you to browse our services, design samples, no-surprises pricing, outstanding customer reviews, and educational articles at https://1106design.com. You can download a free PDF of my book, "Publish Like the Pros: A Brief Guide to Quality Self-Publishing and an Insider's Look at a Misunderstood Industry," and request a free, no-obligation consultation.

1106 Design has been in business since 2001 and is rated A+ by the Better Business Bureau. We are a “Highly Recommended Expert” at IngramSpark.com and rated "Excellent" at Alli, The Alliance for Independent Authors, at SelfPublishingAdvice.org, where you can find a "watchdog list" of the best and worst publishing services companies.

How can we serve you today?

Sincerely,
Michele DeFilippo, owner
