Synopsis

Twelve year-old Katie has a magic glowstone that can be called upon by any animal in trouble, anywhere in the world - and it's up to Katie to put things right, with a little magic!
In this latest adventure, Katie is transported to Henderson Island in the South Pacific ocean where Harry, a green turtle, and his best friend, Basil the crown-of-thorns starfish are both suffering from tummy-ache caused by ingesting plastic pollution.
The story begins with Katie exploring a Devon rock-pool where she finds a crab struggling against a mountain of plastic litter. She asks for the glowstone's help only to be whisked across the globe to the South Pacific and a much greater problem.
Katie and her glowstone are quickly able to resolve the creatures' sore tummies but finds that their beaches are completely covered by all sorts of washed-up plastic waste.
Miraculously, the glowstone transports five of the most powerful leaders of the world to the beach where they are presented with a dilemma - either agree to stop the pollution for good or see the litter on these beaches sent directly to their houses! Unsurprisingly, they agree!
The leaders are then instructed to clear the beach, each being given a broom and a boat to take the rubbish away! Katie and Harry work together to get the leaders to clean up the island to the delight of all of the island's creatures.
When the beauty of Henderson Island is restored, the leaders are transported back to their day jobs and Katie says goodbye to her new friends.
The glowstone sends her straight back to the very same Devon rock-pool which prefaced this adventure and where Katie is delighted to find a happy crab in a pristine rock-pool freed of litter. Mum and Dad are cross at her sudden disappearance (which was little more than ten minutes for them!). But Katie is glad to be home, as always, knowing she's done a good day's work.
On heading back to the car, she hears on a TV set in the beach cafe that the leaders of the world have found a fully biodegradable alternative to plastic and that the plastic pollution of the oceans will be a thing of the past from today! Little do Mum and Dad know of Katie's role in bringing this change!
Katie is exhausted and falls asleep in the car, dreaming of the beautiful crystal clear waters and white sands of the paradise islands of the South Pacific ocean.
