I saw one of you today, and you reminded me that it's been a while since I've sent an update. Ok, here it goes.....
THINGS ARE MOVING QUICKLY!
1. I met my first deadline! I hit "enter" at about 3 a.m. on September 14th. This was my first deadline. I was a few hours behind, but Ashante and the team were very supportive.
2. Yesterday, I had my first meeting with the team from Wiley Joseey-Bass. It was efficient and informative. I left with more "to-dos", but I also left feeling supported.
3. The Title of the book is going to change a bit. I thought this might happen. Apparently, "30 for 30" is owned by ESPN. Many of you told me this may happen, well it's all good! I'm excited about what we're going to land on! Someone said the new title sends a clearer message about the book! YESSSSSSSSS! That's a great outcome.
4. We're beginning to sample book covers styles! EXCITING! Kisha and I had an interesting conversation about the book cover.
5. ENDORSEMENTS! You know what that is? That's when other "big names" say something about your book, and you include it on the jacket or inside the book. I'm reaching out to those individuals now. One of my goals is to get a cross-section of endorsers! Diverse in as many ways as possible.
