By now, everyone who pre-ordered the printed book or ebook should have received their edition of Magician and Fool in the mail or in person. The bonus packages of tshirts and mugs were also sent out and I'm in the process of scheduling the last Celtic Cross tarot readings for those who ordered that bonus package.
So many wonderful things have happened during this Publishizer Campaign. So many of you pledged support for a book that took 6 months to actually be printed and delivered, but still you believed in it enough to pre-order and support me. There were enough pre-orders to have several publishers step forward, and i2i Publishing in Manchester, England came forward to be the chosen venue. Lionel Ross, the publisher, made sure that the books were edited and published in time for my trip to London, where I attended the UK Tarot Conference, spoke at Atlantis Books and did a presentation at Watkins Bookshop, where Bryan Cranston, very kindly stopped by and made an appearance. My talk on Pamela Colman Smith was recorded for the Watkins Books store youtube channel and you can watch it here:
(Bryan Cranston steps in about 10 minutes into my talk).
It was thrilling to have Bryan take time out of his busy schedule at the National Theatre where he is rehearsing NETWORK to come and be a part of this evening. Etan Ilfeld, the owner of Watkins Books, recorded the event, and I was so pleased to be able to talk about Pamela, sign books and launch the book in London. There are so many people to thank for making the London trip successful, Sasha Graham, Etan Ilfeld, owner of Watkins Books, Geraldine & Bali Beskin, owners of Atlantis Books, Jennifer Wiltsie, Kim Arnold, and many others.
In New York City, those who pre-ordered the book came to Cafe Tallulah, where books and bonuses were handed out. My twin sister, Cynthia, who designed the artwork for the tshirts and mugs of Sir Henry Irving and William Terriss as the Magician and the Fool, flew out from L.A., and we celebrated the New York launch of the book, and our birthday. It was magical to feel the support of my wonderful tribe and family.
I have one last ask of you and that is if you could post reviews of Magician and Fool on Amazon. The book is being considered for a U.S. distribution by a major publisher and reviews on Amazon would help bring this last big goal to fruition. You could post reviews at:
https://www.amazon.com/Magicia...
OR
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Magic...
Even reviews on GoodReads would be helpful, as I am positioning the book as the first book in a series, so if there is any reference to the first chapter of High Priestess and Empress, which is included in the last pages of Magician and Fool, that would be so swell.
Thank you all, it has been the most challenging, difficult and rewarding chapter of my life. Thank you for being there for me.
Susan
