Dear 'Founding Mothers & Fathers' of Magician and Fool,
In less than twenty four hours, we hit 100 pre-sales! HOOORAYYYY!!! Thank you, All of You!!
Magician and Fool is now being considered by hybrid publishers. When you hit 250 pre-orders, my proposal will be queried to independent publishers, and at 500 pre-orders, it will be queried to traditional publishers.
I've had interest from three hybrid publishers, one in particular seems interesting, so as the campaign rolls along, we'll see what develops. In all the years of acting, I thought I knew what rejection was until I started sending my book to literary agents. The brutal silence or terse responses were really awful but - NOW - I am 'chuffed' as my British friends would say, to have the responses I'm getting.
We just hit 110...ooops! now 112 pre-orders, so it's another 138 until the 250 goal. I'll be soliciting event planners to consider the bigger bonuses of tarot parties for their events. If anyone knows an event planner looking for a tarot party provider, I'm your reader!
I'll leave with some of Pamela Colman Smith's other artwork, this one aptly called 'Once in a Dream'. This is a painting she did for her literary magazine, The Green Sheaf, No 2, 1903, Edited, Published and Sold by Pamela Colman Smith. So, Pamela, herself, did a little self-publishing.
Light and Love,
Susan
