Synopsis

The world is looking at the stars for an escape, but the solutions we need are already beneath our feet.

Mars Can Wait is an interactive coffee table book written by clinical psychologist Dr. Lori Myren-Manbeck. It is designed to move readers from climate anxiety to climate agency through a blend of psychological insight and practical, daily action.

From the Page to the Screen

The book’s first chapter comes to life through our pilot episode filmed in Costa Rica. In partnership with Down to Earth Coffee, we follow the story of Juliana, a young woman protecting her family’s regenerative farm. Through the book’s integrated QR codes, you don't just read about sustainability—you watch it unfold.

What’s Inside:

  • The TV Series Connection: Unlock exclusive footage from the pilot episode.

  • Real-World Stories: Experience Juliana’s mission on her regenerative farm.

  • The Psychology of Change: Replace "eco-paralysis" with effective daily habits.

  • Interactive Discovery: Support the organizations featured in the book.

  • Why this book?

Lori created this book to prove that sustainability is a lifestyle. By pre-ordering, you are securing a guide that bridges the gap between individual habits and global impact.

The stars are beautiful, but they aren't home. Support the mission to stay grounded.

    Because Mars can wait.

    Sales arguments

    • Timely, Human-Centered Solutions: The book addresses the urgent environmental crisis by moving away from "climate doom" toward actionable hope. Instead of focusing on disasters, it spotlights real-world solutions - like the regenerative coffee farming practices currently being filmed for the Mars Can Wait TV pilot in Costa Rica. Readers aren't just told the world is changing; they are shown how to change it through the stories of pioneers like Juliana.
    • Aesthetically Stunning & Purposeful Decor: Designed as a high-end coffee table book, this is a visually captivating addition to any space. It serves as a constant, beautiful "visual cue" to remain grounded and mindful of our planet. Its cinematic photography and elegant design are intended to spark conversation, making it as much a piece of art as it is a call to action.
    • Tech-Enabled & Multi-Media Experience: Unlike traditional sustainability guides, this book is a portal to the screen. Through integrated QR codes, readers can unlock exclusive footage from the Mars Can Wait travel series. By scanning the pages, you can virtually visit the Down to Earth Coffee farm, see regenerative agriculture in action, and connect directly with the organizations leading the way - bridging the gap between the printed page and a global TV movement.
    • A Community-Driven Ecosystem: The project is built on a network of collaboration. By backing the book, you are joining a mission supported by industry leaders like Down to Earth Coffee. This ecosystem allows sponsors and readers alike to align with a sustainability-conscious audience and participate in a movement that spans literature, film, and direct-to-consumer regenerative products.
    • Credibility Through Expert: As a licensed clinical psychologist and sustainability advocate, Dr. Lori Myren-Manbeck brings deep professional authority to the project. Her guidance is psychologically grounded and scientifically sound, offering a unique perspective on climate anxiety that has already been featured on outlets like CBS and WOI TV. As the author of this book and the host of the upcoming Mars Can Wait series, she provides the project with both the clinical expertise and the relatable, curious voi

    1106 Design, LLC

    Dear Author,

You worked hard to write your manuscript, and you know that expert assistance is needed to ready it for the market. But perhaps you didn’t realize that working with a publisher is no longer necessary—especially publishers who charge fees to produce your book upfront and "share" more of your revenue whenever a book is sold.

1106 Design is an author services company that has served over 4,000 authors since 2001. We offer all the editorial and design services you’d expect from a publisher, transforming your manuscript into a polished book. But here's the difference: we help you secure print-on-demand printing and worldwide distribution in YOUR name. This means you'll earn several dollars more for every book sold instead of a meager “royalty” and never lose control of your book or your book files.

We understand that your book is not just a passion project but also a potential source of income. No two books or authors are alike. That's why we'll customize a package of services tailored to your needs at affordable prices, starting at $5,555. And here's the best part: after this one-time investment, every penny of revenue from book sales is deposited directly to your bank account, never to ours first.

If this sounds like a better way to publish your book, I invite you to browse our services, design samples, no-surprises pricing, outstanding customer reviews, and educational articles at https://1106design.com. You can download a free PDF of my book, "Publish Like the Pros: A Brief Guide to Quality Self-Publishing and an Insider's Look at a Misunderstood Industry," and request a free, no-obligation consultation.

Hi, Mark. Thank you for the interest. We are waiting to choose a publisher until the campaign is done in November, but I wanted to reach out now and say Radius Book Group looks interesting. I plan to relaunch my podcast in the spring so could imagine some collaboration there as well. Keep an eye on us and I will look forward to connecting further.

Tried to buy your book - not able to do so until I signed in - so I did - then I lost access to buy. Catch 22. Maybe that's because it's not complete. Or my click skills are lacking. I love the theme - always surprised at how great an impact one person can have on events and outcomes - anyone can do it. Not sure about saving the world. It's a lot older than mankind. I expect it will be here long after we have left. Certainly, after I have left. But I do agree that she deserves the best we can give her in return for all she has given us. God bless you Lori.
