Synopsis

Today, and for many generations, there is a lack of accountability in our own individual lives. The majority of people live in a place of victimhood mentality in the back seat of their life VS. being in the driver seat of empowerment. When we fear something we run away, when something is hard we quit, when something is out of control we point the finger. We need to develop a better understanding, that the moments in life that challenge us are the moments that will bring us the most fulfillment and growth. We must embrace the suck along the way, we must seek resistance.

As an experienced veteran with adversity, Lance has faced some of life's most difficult challenges. He battled an addiction to drugs and alcohol for over a decade, lost his brother to suicide, and lost his father to cancer. As a promise to himself, Lance made a goal to create a new life for himself by leaving an impact on as many people as possible. His goal was to leave the world in a better place than he found it.

For that, he created a platform so that people can learn from stories of adversity, grit, and success. He has interviewed over 250 inspirational people all over the world who inspired him to write this book "Mastering Adversity".

Lance has made it his mission to facilitate the message of positive change through adversity and encourage people to see the light through the darkness of life's worst moments. He has given other people the platform to tell their stories of adversity and hardship. He has also empowered countless others to overcome the challenges they are facing in their own lives. Lance is a role model to those who want to better themselves, seek personal development, and desire long-lasting fulfillment.

By reading "Mastering Adversity" he wants to help you, who are currently struggling, to empower with the awareness of yourself, encouraging you to find the right mindset to speed up the struggle of where you are today, craving. And mostly, to be grateful for the lesson.

The book spins around the importance of self-understanding, gratitude, acceptance, taking challenges and then immersing yourself into the five areas of adversity: Mind / Body / Vocation / Relationships / Spirit.

Adversity, pain, trauma, and struggle are the main components of growth and awareness that you will develop together. This is the right place to lean into. On the other side there is a reward, and that reward creates the fulfillment we need.

Understanding comes before acceptance, every challenge moving forward becomes easier, in proportion to the compassion, love and leaving we invite into ourselves.
