So many things happened since our campaign ended on the last day October.
I won't bore you with the details, I just want to give you some of the highlights:
1. I will be signing up with Inside Edge Publishing on Monday! The CEO of Inside Edge Publishing contacted me and he expressed interested in publishing the Maui 2021 and beyond. Inside Edge is a Hybrid Publishing company which means I have to shoulder some of the initial costs of publishing a book, but they will handle many aspects of publishing such as editing (and oh boy do I need an editor! Lots of editing needed), book cover, uploading in Amazon and marketing. The long and the short of it is that your support enabled me to move forward with this type of publishing. I initially was just going to "self publish" but this is so much better!
2. Earlier Launch Date. I initially thought that February is when I can officially launch the book at Amazon, but with the help of Inside Edge Publishing, we can launch mid January 2021!
3. The PDF Draft. I apologize I am late in delivering the PDF draft copy of Maui 2021 and Beyond. Since Maui opened up on October 15, there has been many changes happening - many restaurants and hotels opening, and more. I had to keep updating the draft to make it as close to the current as possible. Of course it would be impossible to keep it totally updated because many changes are still happening, but I would try. There are still a lot of work to be done on the manuscript but I am planning on delivering a draft to you by tomorrow, Monday, November 16th.
As we continue to navigate this new normal on visiting Maui at this time of COVID19 pandemic, I am even more convinced that this book is needed. I must admit, it is hard to find enough time to finish the book, on top of my full time job and responsibilities at home with my family ... but I am doing the best I can. Like that little choo choo train on The Little Engine That Could, I just keep on moving forward as I tell myself ... "I think I can, I thinkI can.."
