Hey there!
Time for a little update.
Firstly, thank you for your incredible patience and understanding. Writing a book really is a journey and having you there ready for Modern Tribe when it's ready is helping me immensely.
So what's taking longer than expected?
I haven't had anybody explicitly let me know they are wondering where their book is, but of course my own expectation for my delivery was quite tight and so I am realising the love and energy writing a book really does require. This year has been quite a journey personally and as I've grown and changed there have been slight changes in the way I've chosen to write the book, so I've needed to make these changes.
Writing really is a lesson and experience in Aristotle's quote, “Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet." Much like the trees that take the longest to grow usually bare the greatest fruits.
So I've been trusting that as a supporter of Modern Tribe, you are feeling OK with the progress and supporting this message making it to the world.
Is there a new timeline?
I am now going back through the book to refine the messaging and hoping to have the full manuscript complete for editing by October. We will then continue conversations with publishers that have showed interest.
Please let me know if you have any questions at all by emailing me at al@aljeffery.com. Thank you again (very much!) and I look forward to sharing snippets of the book with you as it is refined.
Here is my recent talk at Made in Space in Copenhagen on "vulnerability and community" if you'd like to take a look.
