Thank you so much for all of your support, shares, and pre-orders over the last 30 days. Although we did not reach our fundraising goal of $7,500, we did raise $4,390 towards our publishing costs, pre-sold 152 books, and we did a spectacular job at raising the awareness around the book and the BAMS (Badass Bodacious Mom-Preneurs) Movement. I have received messages from women around the world who were moved by my story and are now eagerly awaiting the release of this book, so one way or another this book is getting published.

There is power in surrender!

In the last 2 days of the campaign I was led by Spirit to surrender. To let go, and allow myself to be supported by my angels and my community rather than pushing and forcing. So yesterday I booked myself into the La Costa Resort Spa here in San Diego for a day of relaxation and reflection. I had done all that I can do to create momentum and awareness for the campaign and I chose to trust that however things turned out, in the end, it would be perfect. I turned off my phone and completely checked out for 5 whole hours.

I was exactly where I was supposed to be. While relaxing at the spa I met two beautiful women in the hot tub and as we were laughing and talking, they began sharing their motherhood stories and challenges with me. I listened and shared my motherhood Wisdom as I usually do, but I was reluctant to share more about my story or my book because I was supposed to be relaxing and didn't want to come off like a shameless marketer or sales woman. Then Spirit reminded me that it would be a disservice not to share my story and my book with them. Turns out, I was the exact person that they needed to meet and I had the exact words that they needed to hear.

It was such a blessed interaction that left one women in tears of gratitude and prompted the other woman, Shawn L. Duffy, to jump out of the hot tub and run for her phone and credit card while yelling "We're doing this! I want to buy 100 copies right now". I was in complete shock. By simply being willing to put my own inner conversation on mute and choosing to openly share about what I was doing I created a win win. Shawn ended up supporting at the $850 Empower Level which boosted our campaign funds tremendously. She gave the Complimentary Breakthrough Coaching Session and the Complimentary admission to my Sacred Selfcare Retreat to her friend Ginger Guarnieri and then we all celebrated our new friendships with dinner and drinks. How does it get better?
