Update #7 - Sample of Chapter Seven: Dire Straits Jan. 17, 2020

Chapter VII: Dire Straits

Meanwhile back in Roxtopia, Lilith had gone to Plenty Town to see if there had been any word of the adventurers that sailed aboard The Wild Wind. Whilst asking around she met up with a lady in her thirties sitting rather sad with a black dog. "Hello is anything wrong? You look like you could do with some company" said kind hearted Lilith. "Thank you" the woman replied "that would be a comfort. My son Dyer went missing recently and I think he went away with my partner and his son Joshua to sea"  Lilith then realised that this woman's family must've gone on The Wild Wind too "This ship wasn't The Wild Wind by chance?" Lilith asked "Why yes! Do you have people on that ship as well?" Lilith was so pleased to have found someone to share her worries with. "I'm Lilith, I live with my father Banony in the village of Roxtopia, my boyfriend, Limbo has gone on this voyage to rescue his sister Dusk from the clutches of the Conqueror and Queen Mematade!"  With great compassion the lady encouraged Lilith to sit with her and poured a glass of wine "You can call me Charlotte, Lilith very pleased to meet you. Our boys are so far away from us it's so, ever so hard to continue to wait with the hope and faith that all will be right" Lilith sat picked up the glass smiled and attempted to give Charlotte some peace of mind "Why worry?" Limbo's been learning to be an amazing wizard, he was taught by the wise ancient wizard Janna-Sees"  Charlotte sipped her wine "I worry because no one has ever been able to stop the Conqueror, the man's too strong especially if he's got his wicked witch of a mother helping him" Lilith placed her hand on Charlotte's across the table and smiled "We must have faith, Charlotte".

In the dark recesses of the Castle Aseed Labyrinth, Limbo was trying to help solve another problem within the horror filled maze. Harold signed to Limbo "What's your latest trick?" Limbo shrugged his shoulders  implying that he was unsure then continued to flick through the pages of the spell book in an attempt to decipher the symbols displayed  on the wall in front of them. Some of them were raised and others were slightly sunken. One of them was a raised square block embossed with a circled divided into two vertical semi circle indicating a set of horizontal lines leading to a set of vertical lines stacked on top of each of them finishing with a triangular symbol at the top.  Joshua looked closely at the symbols and thought that he may have worked out what they were referring to. "Guys I think I've got it! I think if we press this symbol it'll lead us to Dusk's dungeon" Tobias's face lit up with a massive grin "Son I think you're right!" All of the others looked at each other smiled and Dusk gave a thumbs up with a triumphant "Yay!" Joshua reached forward and gently pushed on the sandstone block, dust shifted and the stone wall separated to reveal a new opening. One by one they entered the new chamber and found themselves going down a new long path that was shining and giving off a sunny yellow glow. Rico noticed that there were gaps at the bottom of the side walls, big gaps four feet wide and two feet high.
