19 hours left in my campaign…while I didn’t sell the 500 goal I CRUSHED my own, personal, goal thanks to you guys! My last update I think I was at 189 books so my goal, then, was 200; I sent out an update asking for help from my supporters and boy did you answer. Within hours I hit the 200 goal. I’m all about realistic goals and I quickly realized I needed to modify my 200 number- I upped it to 250. That proved to be more of a competitive goal; not so easy to where I got it right away (like my 200 goal) but not so hard its unattainable (like the 500 goal). I hovered around 248 for the longest time, then on Sunday night I got an order for ten books from my old coworker. Not only did that help me achieve my goal, I surpassed it! (I keep saying “I” when really I’m not doing anything…you guys are doing all the heavy lifting 😉)
As of right now, I sit at 271 copies sold. Some could look at that number as a failure. It’s 229 short of the 500 goal. But I look at it as anything but that! Sure, it’s 229 shy of 500 but it’s 271 votes of confidence. It’s 157 different orders! That’s 157 peoples’ hands being reached out to help me up. That’s 157 pats on the back. That’s 157 people saying “we see you and we’re here for you”. Thank you sooooooooo much! I genuinely mean it when I say I’m incredibly lucky to have the support in my life.
I’m elated to start this next step in the process! What will happen next: once the 19 hours are up I will be able to see the nine different publishers that have expressed interest. Hopefully I will feel comfortable with one of those and they can move with me in the next steps of publishing. If not, I will self publish. One way or another, your copies will be mailed to you (once I get closer to that I will send out another email to confirm the address I have on file- but that’s farther down the road…I don’t even have a publisher yet...slow your role, Mol)
