Update #6 - Please don't take my silence as laziness March 11, 2021

Hey everyone,

Sorry I’ve been MIA lately. I’ve been busy working on my book with some summer travels in between. But I wanted to give an update: I’m sooooo close! Edits: done. Cover design: done. Interior layout: done. Author bio: done. Back blurb: done. Proofreading: in the process. I asked to put it through an extra round of proofreading because- well, its my work put out there with my name on it- and I hold this book up to high standards….so, yeah. I just sent the email to the publisher asking for another round of proofreads with different eyes and he said it’ll take a “couple more weeks. I don’t know your timeline but it’ll extend it if you want another proofread.” I told him, “I’m not on a strict timeline.” *Side note: I’m really happy with the publisher I went with, Atmosphere Press. Each step in the process (editing/cover design/interior layout) I have someone who specializes in that area and each person has been so great. I really do feel so lucky to be working with a great team. I also really appreciate their core reason for being in the publishing business: their mission is to keep power in the author’s hands. I have the ULTIMATE say to all the suggestions they make. I’m also keeping ALL rights to my work (which you never see in the publishing world) and they take zero royalties. *

So…there it is. I may be quiet but I’m still here: quietly working away, perfecting my appearance for a future entrance. Thank you for your patience and…I’ve said it before, “I’m only as strong as my team supporting me.” Thank you for being a part of my team.

Love,

Molei
