‘One cow at a time’ is a Hebrew slang for performing a task gradually, step by step, slowly and patiently, and not all at once. The expression is used to relieve stress and focus on the small details so as not to be overwhelmed by the workload.

From a broader philosophical perspective, this Hebrew expression reminds me of the title of the multi-Oscar winning movie ‘One battle after another’, they both essentially mean the same, it is evident that life's challenges are continuous. The recommendation is not to panic and be as disciplined as possible in your dealings with whatever comes your way (contrary to most of the characters in the movie).

The process of writing my book started more than a year ago and I have been treating the challenges one by one. At present, due to the war with Iran, there are two live tasks.

The first is to update the narrative that relates the Israelis ability to deal with Iran. See ‘Whoever rises to kill you, rise early to kill him first’. The second issue is that I am aware of many people, including some on Substack, who expressed interest in per-ordering the book but are yet to do so. In Israel, while running in and out of bomb shelters, people have other priorities at present.

Therefore, after looking at these “cows” one after the other, it became prudent to prolong the pre-orders campaign by a few weeks until the 19th of April.

I hope that by the time the campaign is officially finished, I will know which publisher is interested and I expect to release the book, after a final edit, within two months.
