The Wisest man in History. His full story now told!

Solomon: Wisdom, Defiance & Consequences:

is an action/adventure, fictional story based on the life of King Solomon written by me! Cenus Hinds.

King Solomon, the wisest man to have ever lived is well renowned for his wisdom. He is usually a reference in comics and other works because of such. His wisdom and words are predominantly used in Christianity but spans even further into other fields. He is responsible for sentences such as: “Train up a child in the way that he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from It.”, “He who works with a lazy hand is poor, but the hand of the hard worker brings riches.”, “As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.”.

Cenus Hindsyou may know from my work: ‘Whatever It Takes: The Eclipse’. I have been a Christian for around half of my life and have also extensively studied the Bible (Which by the way is the main source material for this novel… Wisdom had to prevail :) )

WHAT MAKES THIS BOOK AWESOME??

My friend: just as every story in history, there’re the ‘hidden facts’ that seems to always find themselves excluded from the mainstream stories. Solomon: Wisdom, Defiance & Consequences would include all the bits and pieces to the entire story of King Solomon – The good with the bad. It’s always told that he was the great king of a flourishing kingdom… But was his kingdom always flourishing? What did he do differently when compared to his father King David? Did he die in good standing with everyone?

IF YOU WANT TO LEARN NEW THING, ESPECIALLY WISE SAYINGS AND TEACHINGS:

Want to learn new thing? No problem, the novel will consist of a plethora of wise sayings and teaching… After all, those really are the embodiment of Solomon’s character!

Besides, who doesn’t love reading something and knowing a lot more concerning an actual subject than before? It’s a golden opportunity to learn more!

IF YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN:

Honestly, I’m not trying to pull your strings or play on your conviction so as to lure you into pledging, but really… If you’re a Christian, this would be a definite added plus to your book collection, minus the sometimes bland narration and flavor of conventional Christian books. Also, it’ll be a great gift to give your non-Christian friend(s). Solomon had a mostly awesome life and story in a whole, I’m positive your friends would appreciate it.

IF YOU HAVE NO INTEREST IN THE ABOVE MENTIONED, BUT JUST ENJOY READING.

Then I can assure you this book is still totally awesome and chock full of those things you like. You can (AND WILL?) love this book even if you've never had any particular interest in history, the bible, (GOD?) or Christianity in a whole. This is a book written for teens and Young Adults who like only the most awesome of things. That is you. I know it.

I've used the story of King David on his dying bed as a starting point, because a) it’s essential so as to better grasp the story in its entirety and b) it gives you an idea of Solomon’s actual position in the kingdom before his father’s death.

TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE BOOK!

The book itself isn’t already written: As stated above, I’ve written a novel before, and so I am very familiar with the entire process involved. As this would be a YA novel, the word count would land comfortably around 80,000 (conservative estimate, it’ll more than likely be more).

Why haven’t I started?

I wanted to be sure of my audience first. Something like this is relatively new (a YA fictional novel based on stories from the bible.) A few movies have emerged from this field (NOAH and EXODUS: Gods and Kings). Movies however, would last 3hrs max (hopefully), while a typical book would keep you on your toes for days and stick with you for years. I want to be sure that there are like minded individuals out there like myself who would see the value in this (Yes you!).

The more money we raise, the better the book will be.

WHAT'S THE MONEY GOING TOWARDS?

If we reach our goal for the book, I'll be able to release the book as a professionally-edited, professionally typeset, professionally-designed beautiful volume which would capture any and everyone’s attention just by first glance.

My first attempt would be the traditional route of publishing. I’ll send query letters to literary agents so as to get representation for a publishing house. This would be ideal because a) the pricing for the novel will be a lot cheaper than if it was self-published and b) A LOT of marketing will be done to get the book out there.

However, I know all too well that getting a literary agent isn’t as easy as people believe it to be, and so the alternative would be self-publishing. The novel will be published by Lulu (rated the top self-publishing company) if queries are given no interest within two months.

HOW DO I KNOW THIS BOOK IS SOMETHING I WANT THOUGH??

Well, I can tell you I think it’ll be my best work yet. And while you can't read this book just yet, you can get a glimpse of my work through THE ECLIPSE! You can buy it which I’ll recommend or, you can take the preview which Amazon offers, either way, it’s there for you to see. J That actually is my first ever novel, but not my only work. I’ve also written a screenplay for ‘The Eclipse’ which I’ll be giving out in some of the rewards (Because I love you).

Yep! If the book reaches its goal, yep, there's plenty of motivation to keep going! I've got lots of plans for awesome things we could do to make this book into an actual series. The story of Solomon is an extremely extensive one, and quite frankly, one novel will not do it justice. So that depends on you and your contribution!

Because it’s going to be great. I've fell in love with writing, and so have spent a lot of time bettering myself in this area. You’ll be funding me just as much as you’ll be funding this novel. I’ve heard a lot about crowd funding and have seen umpteen success stories. This is as much an experiment (the crowd funding aspect) as it is anything else. Hopefully this experiment is a success!
