Hello everyone! I am excited to share my new book with you - The Adventures of Hairy Spinner. As a single mom, I crafted many stories over the years as a bedtime ritual for my daughter - Hairy was one of the characters I invented. I teach science so you will find my story to be a combination of fiction mixed with factual terms. In my spare time I can be found outside in nature, observing, polishing my photography, reading and of course, writing. I truly hope you enjoy Hairy and the adventure he gets into with Blitz.

Synopsis

Hairy Spinner lives in the canopy of the rainforest.  He's different than his family as he craves adventure - more then just catching a large insect in his web.  Suddenly, he is being whisked away on the back of a bat who hasn't earned her full pilots wings.  They set off on a harrowing adventure through the forest meeting others along the way.  All the while trying to return Hairy to his family.

One calm and peaceful morning,   “Hairy!  Hairy Spinner!  You come down the tree this instant,” yelled Mama Spinner. 

Hairy ever so slowly released his silk – little by little – till he was hanging in front of Mama.  “Yes Mama?” Hairy said softly.

 “Look at your web.  It’s a mess!  You can’t leave legs and antenna strewn about.  You will never make a fresh catch that way young man.  Now, I want you to go clean your web,” scolded Mama.

“Yes Mama,” said Hairy hanging his head.  Mama Spinner ran up the tree to check on Hairy’s siblings.

“I never have any fun!” exclaimed Hairy as he flicked away an antenna.  “I just wish something exciting would happen around here.”  Little did Hairy know, his wish was about to come true.
