Hey guys, 

We are nearly half way through our 30 day campaign and nearly $3000 raised with 117 copies sold so far. Thank you again to everyone who has preordered or donated copies. I have been really touched by everyone’s enthusiasm and support. 

Some people have asked how I wrote this with 3 small boys under my feet. Well..it just sort of happened. I couldn’t sleep one night with the idea and spent every spare minute, (especially whilst feeding my little boy) in lockdown scribbling down a first draft on a scruffy bit of paper. It took me a week to finish it and was pure escapism. If I had a cottage in solitude I think I would have locked myself away with a writers cap and quill and write until it was finished. I had never written a book before and had originally planned to try a picture book. 

The first draft had lots of ‘in jokes’ and family members in it, more like a family memoir. My long suffering  husband gave me some honest feedback and with some editing and some expert advice from Nathan Munday it became what it is today and with his advice I sent it to a few agents/people in the know in the literature world. With some good feedback I was then confident that one day it would be published. This is where you guys come in! 

I’m hoping to be able to give you a few sample pages for you to get an idea of what’s to come. Maybe some of you will recognise some of the character traits or phrases!

Hi everyone, 

Just to say a huge thank you to you all for your support. I have been so overwhelmed by the generosity of friends, family and even people I have never met. We are getting closer and closer each day and lots of promises from others to contribute before the deadline. 

I just wanted to clarify a few things... you may have had an e-mail saying Atmosphere Press will publish the book. Depending on how much money we raise will depend on which type of publishing model is used and Atmosphere press require 250-300 copies to be sold before there is enough money to publish. Apologies for the confusion. The more we can convince publishers that there is a demand for this book the better so please spread the word.

The 'get bonus' and the American dollars have been confusing a few people. The currency can't be changed sorry as it is an American site. Click on the yellow preorder button on the top right hand corner of the page or the 'get bonus button.' Choose one of the bonuses. If you want to just buy the book and no bonuses just buy the $25 bonus and contact to say not to bother about the artwork etc for example. 

A few have expressed interest in donating but don't want 20 odd books lying around the house. If this is you please have them delivered to me and I will donate them to a local school or library or childrens charity. 

If the lowest bonus is two expensive then please get in touch and again we can find another way of you helping donate. Please note the e-book is just an e-book NOT a paper copy and as the book hasn't been published yet so please don’t expect a book through your door in the next week or so!
