Ended
Hi everyone!
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. here’s the latest on the book!
1. I officially have an editor!
The post-campaign days were a little weird, to be honest. Having something you’re spending so much time and effort on, only to have it finish, sort of leaves you wondering what to do next.
When I found out that I should start looking for editors, that filled the void... but wasn’t exactly a familiar task to say the least.
There were some moments of sheer delight when an editor showed interest, only to be followed by heartbreak when they decided to pursue another project.
Then in my second wave of searching, I came across my current editor’s profile and it checked all the boxes I had on my wishlist. When I explored further, she had edited a book I read last year and loved, Measure What Matters by John Doerr.
We’ve already begun working and it’s the first time I’ve had a chance to be a writing student in a long, long time.
2. Coming Soon - I’ll have my sample chapters ready to go and they, along with my campaign stats and marketing plan, will be part of the pitch to publishers.
3. Training Dates - For everyone that took part in the campaign bonuses, I’d love to get something on the calendar for you. If you have some dates in mind, you can email me.
Final Thought
This process has been such a great reminder of so many of the stories I read about in the book Think Like a Rocket Scientist. Essentially, there are times when you need to launch your idea even before you have all the details figured out.
As familiar as I might be with the subject manner and stories I want to use, I fully expect this book to teach me lessons that I haven’t even anticipated.
Thank you to all of you for making this launch a reality.
Chris
