James L. Davis was a single parent when male single parenting wasn’t in vogue, having reared two young men to adult hood, he is now a proud grandfather. He graduated from Crooms High School in Sanford, Florida where he was the President of the Student Council. Armed with a scholarship from the office of then Governor of the State of Florida, Haydon Burns, he attended Florida A. and M. University (FAMU) where he received a B.S. Degree in Political Science. He became involved in civil rights issues at FAMU, marching many times with Rev C. K. Steele, the co-founder along with Dr. Martin Luther King of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference; the SCLC.
Additionally, his bent toward community service in the field of human rights guided him during those years at FAMU to a head a movement to save the starving children of the Nigeria/Biafra War who were during the Nigeria Civil War dying at a rate of over 1,000 per day. His efforts along with others, in bringing national attention to this issue led to the Red Cross going into an African country for the first time. He was awarded for his role in that campaign Florida A. and M. University’s First Martin Luther King Academic Scholarship. James in his business career has worked for Ford Motor Company as an award winning field representative in their Jacksonville, Florida office and as a stockbroker for E.F. Hutton in Jacksonville and for Merrill Lynch in Orlando.
But once again, his bent toward community service led him to work for the Orlando Urban League where he headed-up their Central Florida Black on Black Crime Program. It was his leadership that led to the Orlando office getting its first community service cash award from Walt Disney World during their annual community service award ceremony.
Having retired to his hometown of Sanford, Florida, Mr. Davis, has written
“The Fix This Time,” a book about expanding Social Security benefits to create jobs and spur demand. He is a local community activist in Sanford. James is also a staff writer for the internet magazine ThyBlackman.com where you can read his many articles having to do with the economy and job creation. He is a Bible study teacher of over a decade at his church, New Salem Primitive Baptist Church in Sanford, where he also heads the trustee board and has been recognized in Sanford by local black churches for his community service.

Job Creation: A Priority of Americans is Doable Right Now!
A recent NBC/Wall Street Journal poll determined that the American public's number one priority is job creation. Politicians on both sides of aisle have not presented a credible job creation plan since the 2008 Downturn. It is as if the public knows the easy money policies of the Federal Reserve Bank (Fed) and the European Union (EU) are no substitute for a viable job creation plan that comes with measurable results. According to the poll, job creation was at the top of the poll for Democrats (87%), Independents (83%) and Republicans (#2 priority @ 84% - defeating and dismantling ISIS was #1 @ 87%) during this election season.
As incredible as it sounds, under the reach and control of the Congress of the United States, a measurable fiscal-oriented job creation plan has been available and doable for sometime! It is presented in detail in the pages of this book, "The Fix This Time.".
The Congress of the United States can and should modify its policies toward retirees to make it possible for them to take up to $40,000 dollars in a partial distribution payment from their Social Security Retirement Fund, leaving the remainder of their retirement funds to be received in monthly annuity checks. To do this, Congress can “Expand Social Security Benefits" and place partial distributions of individual Social Security principal into the hands of retiring boomers, creating purchasing power and consumer demand which creates jobs, igniting the moribund U. S. economy.
If you change how Social Security checks are paid, this can be accomplished. Let the boomers have partial distributions of their Social Security principal in the amount of $40,000.00 dollars, and issue them a monthly check on the remainder of their principal. Look, let's say it takes $313,000.00 dollars in principal at 6.9% interest to send a monthly Social Security check of $1800.00 dollars. So, I say to Social Security, I would like to have some of my money up front, say $40,000.00 dollars. Now pay me a monthly check on the remainder of the principal amount, which is in this instance $273,000.00 dollars, which amounts to a monthly check of $1569.00 dollars. That makes this plan deficit neutral.
The impact of allowing partial distributions, would pull this economy out of this downturn. BOOMERS, ARE RETIRING AT A RATE OF 10,000 PER DAY having STARTED IN JANUARY of 2012, at the age of 66 and continuing for the next 14 years! ( at 66, they receive full benefit payments ) 10,000 x $40,000.00 = $400,000,000.00 million dollars. That's right! They will dump that much money into the faltering U.S. economy each day for the next 14 years. That amount in effect is really $800,000,000.00 million dollars per day because money handed directly to the consumer turns over 1 to 2 times. It called the theory of the volatility of money.
There are 68 to 72 million boomers depending on who's counting. With $800,000,000.00 MILLION DOLLARS coursing through the United States economy, the world's largest, every day, the downturn ends and jobs the public wants are created! Add the incentive of waived or reduced taxes on the first $40,000.00 dollars taken down from any retirement fund, including Social Security and we get a tax cut that affects all working Americans.
This book has the capacity to attract at least five to ten percent of retiring Baby Boomers who will want to know what changes can be made to the Social Security trust fund to create jobs through consumer demand and make their lives better.

Conclusion
