The campaign to pre-sell my book has ended, but the drive to get the message out has NOT. It's more important to me than ever.
I'm going to be contacting women's groups for speaking engagements and getting the message out there that we do not have to do business - nor our lives - in the way we have been: pushing too hard, being on the lookout for punishment or approval in order to measure our efforts.
You know the old expression: you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar? Well, we know more about the vinegar in our Rambo-acculturated culture, but we can be taught to feel more, to care more, and to bring more honey to our lives, our mindsets and to our work structures.
It is an employment and a political need, an educational and a consciousness need, a religious and spiritual need, a psychological and emotional need to change from this paradigm of flogging oneself forward, to moving into the invitation, the investigation, the curiosity about not just what works, but the nature of what works. I have seen in myself the vast change when I feel that expansiveness that comes from allowing myself to sink into the honey of allowing: what I create, how I communicate, and how much self-judgment just melts away.
