How the Feminine Face of Business - and Human-Driven Business Systems - Will Save the Planet
The Human Solution is an unapologetic, paradigm-shifting perspective of male-formed business - with its system of domination, force, mechanizing of the human, and its fundamental disrespect of human drivers and potential - as unavoidably destructive due to the lack of the feminine face of leadership: compassion, emotional awareness/communication, collaboration, financial equality, personal growth and respect for the fundamentals of human quality of life, first. The solution lies in the unexplored professional wealth of the people around you.

Pretty funny, right?
The first publisher I spoke to is something called a hybrid publisher. I'm still not even sure what that means, but one of my contacts told me that hybrid publishers give you a small figure up front for using their services, and then charge you a lot on the backend without telling you that up front!
So, first of all: Really???
Second of all, he told me the price and when I told him I couldn't do that price, he said he'd take my money from Publishizer (that's your investments to this process) and that would be enough. Uh huh. And ... nuh uh.
But we did talk, and even before I got to "what is a hybrid publisher?", this man was SO EXCITED about my book, he couldn't stop frothing about it. I think he's pretty sure it's the second coming of Gone With the Wind.
That was pretty funny too.
And the second publisher was the one where the man told me, in one breath, that he was a GREAT salesman, and that he was divorced but he and his wife are living together and it's awkward sometimes and she needs to get more personal growth...
...oh Lord, spare me, please!
But never mind. The third one was better.
The third one was two people - a man and a woman - who are with a company from whom you buy your editing, cover design, ebook formatting, etc. I'm thinking about getting their help, but I'm not completely certain yet. They do offer the option of looking at your book and having their editors tell you what kind of edit you are going to need: fixing grammar, or what is called content editing? I think EVERYONE needs content editing, because everyone is too close to their own subject matter!
So, the publisher journey continues.
Meanwhile, I'm working on the last chapter of the book, because when I finish that, I can submit it to the third publisher for a free review. (I'm not sure that's even a great idea either, but I can at least finish the last chapter!) AND...I got some great advice from a gentleman at a company that I've been connected with for a couple of years. You see, I want to use this book to back up the public speaking/thought leadership I want to do. So, I'm working on the speaker page on my website, and getting ready to contact groups that are looking for speakers. As part of the payment, if they can't meet my speaking price, I will ask them to either invest in the book now, or after it comes out!
All of this is fascinating to me, marketing geek that I am.
Just wanted to keep you up-to-date on whassup! If you have a business that is looking for speakers on transforming right alongside COVID, or you know someone else who is looking for speakers, please keep me in mind and send them to me at support@goodbyegoodgirl.com?
Thank you AGAIN for helping me move toward my goals! <3 <3 <3
Keep on keeping on!
