A Maternal Mental Health Map for Life After Loss
How one Mama healed her heart while road-schooling her young son over 22,000 miles, across 17 states and through 3 countries, during 2 years of a global pandemic and after the loss of her life partner. This Mama Caravan has hit the road and will have you believing in the magical power of love once more.

Hi again friends,
Things are moving slowly here with my Publishizer campaign and it is allllll good because.... Tortoise has long been one of the animal spirit medicines that I gravitate towards. : )
Part of the Mental Health Map that The Mama Caravan intuitively directed me towards was the reconnection of my emotional body to my mental health. If you really knew my partner Burt, then you would know that what lit him up the most over the last few years of his life was talking about Emotional Fitness (especially for men.)
Burt believed that if we each had the capacity to identify what we are feeling, as well as to clearly communicate about it, then there would be a lot less strife and pain on our planet. His death has been my life's greatest invitation to feel ALL of my feelings ~ grief, rage, fear, shame, embarrassment, included. This is another reason why I am hoping you will help me to publish The Mama Caravan: A Maternal Mental Health Map for Life After Loss.
Throughout 2020, practicing my Emotional Fitness was how I was able to be present to my son's needs. Kicking and punching at the air around me in Sedona, Arizona; dropping to my knees in a Redwood forest found outside of Olympia, Washington, while crying copious tears and begging for help; and shaking my fear out in New Jersey - all helped me to release, find center and come back to being emotionally available for the one person who needs me the most.
In two weeks, Cee and I return stateside for a visit. The Mama Caravan will ride again, bringing Emotional Fitness Dojo to people before Dance Church on August 28th; to senior citizens at their retirement community in Hillcrest; and to Marin and Sonoma Counties. (Flier inserted below.) I hope to see, dance and bee with you then.
I have also attached a YouTube video of one of the Insta Live episodes I filmed with Mama Gina this past week. Mama Gina has launched a regenerative, eco-agricultural "kinder garden" that kicks off tomorrow, Saturday, August 13th 2-5pm. I am really inspired by the work she is doing.
There is still time to send me photos of Mothers you know (including yourself) and their kids for my promo video and to let me know that you want to hop on a "Conversations with Mama Cara" episode with me. (Insta Live doesn't work here in southern Mexico, so we are going to the Zoom format, FYI.)
Lotsa love to you and yours,
Cara
