Afternoon y'all,
Having submitted my completed/edited manuscript publisher we duly sat down to work out a timeline/publication date.
Given that the pre-Xmas build up seems to start earlier every year, we have taken the decision to release early 2018. Rather than get lost in the slew of 'celebrity' autobiographies/toilet reading, it was felt best by both myself and the publishers to 'get it right' and launch when we are ready rather than rush release it and get lost in the Xmas scramble.
Apologies to those that were desperate to be reading it this year, but remember the adage of all good things to those that wait...
In the meantime, I intend to start to sketch out the plot outline of my second book.
This has a working title of 'No. You...' and loosely speaking is a story of long-harboured resentment, manipulation and frustrations at not being dealt the 'right hand' in life. And an attempt to skewer how social media can subvert people's view of the world around them. Again, set in Manchester, and I'm hoping to achieve something quite dark and unsettling.
As my 'debut' novel was very much a private affair, and given the support I received from you fucking great 'Crowdfunder' types, this time around, I intend to share my progress with sample chapters/feedback requests etc.
Lastly, updates on 'The Rock and The Roll..' will be forthcoming with the all important release date.
