Morning y'all,

I hope that I find you well on what promises to be a sunny Bank Holiday weekend - apologies if it is neither sunny or a Bank Holiday in your particular part of the world.

A short update but very significant step in the publishing process.

The typesetting has been completed and I am now in receipt of a an actual formatted book.

A BOOK! A PROPER FUCKING BOOK! 

My publisher has recommended that I give it a final read through which I intend to do over the next few days. Sat in the sun. In Manchester. Wonders will never cease and all that..

I'd love to present a romanticised image of this with a freshly printed off ream of lovely typeset manuscript but I'm having to break a self-imposed cardinal rule and read it off a Kindle device. Which should pain me greatly as I have never previously used one of them new-fangled devices! But given that it is actually my words and my book, I'm prepared to make an exception.

Seeing the book in 'print format' is quite strange after all the time spent poring over it in Word document.

Here's to Kindles and sunshine - and the final sign off!

I can't wait for the next phase and I'll update you as and when.

And if I can ask for one last favour - I'm putting together a database of email addresses to tie in with an author website, so if you could all ping me your relevant details, I can keep you posted on all future developments. Which does include a second book. Which is already underway...
