Hello friends and supporters - I hope it's been a happy New Year so far.

It's been awhile since my last update and a lot of people have asked about the book, so here's the latest news.

I've had an official contract offer from an Australian hybrid publisher (a model where the author pays for services but receives higher royalties) that would put my novel into Australian and NZ book shops with some decent marketing behind it, and a very professional treatment in regards to editing, design, formatting and so on.

The catch is that the cost is far above the amount I've received from my pre-order campaign and would require a significant financial investment on my part. The other factor is they're unable to do a hardcover print run, so I might have to partially refund some of your pre-orders down to the paperback price.

Meanwhile, I'm pursuing official offers from a couple ofinterested  internationally-based royalty publishers (a model where the author pays nothing) for comparison. The disadvantage with those could be a lack of local distribution or marketing, but I'm still waiting to hear back from those publishers.

This whole thing has been a massive learning curve for me and is taking a lot longer than expected.

This is a long way of saying that I'm still considering the options and don't want to rush any decisions just because it's frustrating to wait this long. 

Thank you so much for being patient with me - I guarantee you'll have this book one day, but I can't promise when.
