What's up, everybody?
So much has happened with the book since my previous update, but nothing concrete has taken place so I've held off contacting you until now.
I've been up and down with a couple of publishers but ultimately each have led me to difficult decisions and I've come away feeling I will be better off self-publishing.
What does this mean? I'll have full control over every aspect of the novel, my printing costs are affordable, I can spend more on marketing, and books will be cheaper for future readers, who will be able to order them online, printed in their own country.
It also means more proofreading and layout work needs to take place - but if everything goes according to plan, I'm hoping to have books ready for signing and shipping out in mid-May. It could be far sooner, but I'm cautious of the setbacks that seem inevitable with this kind of process. Fingers crossed.
I am sorry it's taken so long, but I'm also glad I haven't rushed into anything. The support has been much appreciated, as I work through this massive learning experience.
I recently started writing notes for a follow-up novel, which is very exciting, but rest assured this here is my number one priority.
Have a great week
