Today is a big day for me - one that felt very far away when I first hit "new document" and began writing my book. Today I finished the first draft of The Spy and the Maven, almost four months to the day after I started.
The final word count is just over 89,000 and probably about 350 pages.
But how much that will change between now and publication is anyone's guess. The story won't change significantly (I think), but I know I can tell it in a better way, so the editing process will be lengthy.

The Twitter account @SpyandtheMaven just hit 1000 followers and it's been exciting to see interesting build across the internet. Will those followers translate to sales? Not necessarily - probably not. But it certainly doesn't hurt.
