Why I'm Writing This Book

When I started writing on Medium (www.medium.com), I was a digital nobody. It didn't matter, though - Medium was so easy to write and to find an audience that my first story went viral and had nearly 60,000 reads. It sparked an online debate, and overnight I gained hundreds of followers on Twitter and Medium itself. Why did it do so well? Medium is a powerful platform to connect you with a receptive audience of hundreds of thousands of readers that want to hear what you have to say.

I've published over 60 stories in the last year. Through those, I've driven users to my startup's website, I've earned money through product referrals, and I've started large online discussions. After many of my friends approached me to ask questions about how to best utilize Medium, I decided that I just had to write a book. I've learned a ton during my time with Medium, and this book is a complete sharing of all that knowledge.

Current Status

I'm the cofounder of Fatberry (www.fatberry.com), a product for finding the hottest startups in your city. Before this role, I founded TicketKick, which was acquired for a very modest sum in 2012. In between my two founding roles, I was in charge of customer acquisition at an electric vehicle charging company called EverCharge.

I am also an avid car racing and auto enthusiast, and even got the chance to compete on NBC's "Octane Academy" TV show, where I was personally coached by the legendary face of Gymkhana: Ken Block.
