Update #11 - Routledge will be my publisher (wow)!! Dec. 14, 2019

Hello from Kyoto!

I wanted to update everyone who has supported my crowdfunding campaign on Publishizer all at once, so please excuse me for not yet sending a personal email to you about this incredible news. As of last week, I officially signed a publishing contract with Routledge, one of the world's top academic/business publishers to publish The Value Plan with the new title, "Building Value through Marketing: A Step-by-Step Guide" in 2020.

I can't tell you how excited I am to be able to share this news with you, as these discussions have taken a lot of time and energy!

Through this Publishizer campaign, I was fortunate enough to have more than 10 publishers seriously interested in working with me, but after reviewing the Routledge contract and the benefits of working with them, it was clear that they were the best possible choice for me to work with over the long term.

The good news is that with the money that I received at the end of the Publishizer campaign ($8,051 in total after removing Publishizer's 30% fee and adding back my $500 prize for winning the Business Impact Challenge) will enable me to buy and receive all 567 copies that were pre-ordered here in my office in Kyoto.  This means that everyone who supported my campaign will be able to receive a personally signed copy of this book at a significant discount from what anyone else will be able to get going forward (Routledge has told me that they expect to sell this book for 29.99 GBP or about $40.00). I have decided to pay for shipping these books to all of you as that was part of the original promise I made, and it was my ultimate choice to work with Routledge rather than a smaller, less expensive publishing partner that would have included shipping in the sales price.

I will be following up with you with about all of the details related to getting your book (or books) to you after I've submitted the final manuscript to them in February.

Again, it's hard to express how excited I am by this result and that it was because of your help and support during my crowdfunding campaign this summer that I was able to get here.  So really, truly, THANK YOU!!!

I hope that you have a restful, happy and healthy holiday season, and I look forward to being in touch personally over the coming weeks.

Best regards,
  Philip
