Hi friends -
I am very grateful to everyone who has pre-ordered This Won't Be Pretty! With only 9 days left in the campaign, every order increases my chances to be pitched to 12 publishers.
If you're still not quite sure, check out the excerpt below from Chapter II: Network in Jeans and Heels (Or Not)
"There were two types of people that I met through my networking this first year. And you will meet them too.
The Pen – This is the person who has taken the time to build, check-in, and cultivate their business relationships. They know who is a good contact for you and you for them.
The Pencil - This is the person who will add everyone to their list, then find they need to erase about two-thirds of the people from their list. Sometimes, they’re trying to erase those people in the middle of a conversation. You know who they are. They’re checking their phone while they’re talking to or you can hear them typing while you’re asking them a question over the phone. They don’t have a secure list, and they don’t have the attention span. Everyone is temporary to them, and you don’t have time for that."
