If you answered yes to two or more of these questions, you need Vitamin Weed: Get Healthy, Not High in your life!
Vitamin Weed: Get Healthy, Not High is an essential resource for anyone who experiences any of the above problems on a regular basis, or the many other signs of stress described in the book. Dr. Michele explains that healthy functioning of your endocannabinoid system is essential to virtually every aspect of your health as well as to your ability to handle stress.
Stress and endocannabinoid system function play a role in many health conditions, such as autoimmune diseases like fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis, mental disorders like anxiety, depression, PTSD, and schizophrenia, chronic pain, low sexual libido, infertility, chronic fatigue syndrome and obesity. All of these problems and more may be aggravated by the effects endocannabinoid system dysfunction have on your body and brain.
Most people have never heard of the endocannabinoid system, and your doctor wasn't even trained on it even though it's the biggest neurotransmitter system in your body, impacting almost every cell. Your doctor won't check your endocannabinoid levels or treat your deficiency, it's up to you to take control of your own health. Unfortunately, endocannabinoid deficiency is an epidemic impacting millions of Americans, just like other vitamin deficiencies like Vitamin D. A lot of people just like you are suffering daily with no treatment available for their pain or disease. That's where Vitamin Weed: Get Healthy, Not High comes in.
In Vitamin Weed: Get Healthy, Not High, Dr. Michele explains not only how endocannabinoid deficiency affects your health but how you can restore function by using endocannabinoid replacement therapy, or vitamin weed, as well as prevent endocannabinoid deficiency from returning through stress management. She wrote this book with an easy-to-follow style that is designed to guide you through everything you need to know about the endocannabinoid system, stress, pain, and your health.
Vitamin Weed is a book both doctors and patients can enjoy and learn from. It contains the questionnaire Dr. Michele developed and used in consulting patients like you, plus simple self-tests to help you determine if you are experiencing endocannabinoid deficiency and how much it may be affecting you. Unlike other books that give you a lot of information but offer no treatment plan, Dr. Michele provides several treatment plans that you can pick from to suit your unique symptoms. From beginning to end Dr. Michele's book will take you step-by-step to get the healthy and happy life you deserve.
Anyone that wants to improve their health, prevent illness, and slow aging. Patients that suffer from known or unknown illnesses without a treatment that alleviates their pain or symptoms will also benefit from this book. People that want to understand why their family member, loved one, or friend uses cannabis can benefit from this book. Finally, doctors and other health professionals can learn why they should recommend medical cannabis, how to treat patients with cannabis, and how the endocannabinoid system is harmed by Western lifestyle.
My first book was published by Adams Media in 2012, titled "Train Your Brain To Get Thin: Prime Your Gray Cells For Weight Loss, Wellness, and Exercise."
Cannabis has been a major part of my life, first as scientist and then as a patient. I graduated with a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas in 2009, where I had spent 5 years studying the effects of drugs like cannabis, cocaine, MDMA, and heroin on the brain. After discovering cannabis might actually grow brain cells and not cause brain damage like expected, my perspective on cannabis changed. I felt uncomfortable forcing myself to come up with studies that would confirm what the National Institute on Drug Abuse wanted scientists to find. I left academic research after a short postdoctoral research fellowship at the California Institute of Technology.
After working as Chief Scientist at a global corporation, formulating and marketing health and beauty products around the world, I wondered if cannabis was the next superfood the health supplement industry was looking for. After diving into the scientific studies I was convinced. Shortly after in a freak accident, I lost all nerve function in my right hand and forearm for several months. It was during this time that I was introduced to cannabis, and it not only reduced pain but helped restore function to my limbs. In my early 30s I was diagnosed with several genetically inherited autoimmune disorders, including fibromyalgia and endometriosis. I consumed as much cannabis as I could to maintain a normal life. And it worked.
Together with my husband Todd, a 20 year cannabis industry veteran, I founded GreenStone Labs. We develop novel cannabis products and consult with cannabis companies around the globe as well as patients. I write for several magazines including Cannabis Now, have guested on numerous TV and radio shows including The Doctors and The Ricki Lake Show, and speak at cannabis and health conferences.
Thank you for being part of this project, I'm excited to share my decade of research with you.
I'm currently finishing my 250-page manuscript. To make sure my book is 100% free of scientific errors, I will use my funds for editing, as well as printing and marketing the book. I plan to publish Vitamin Weed: Get Healthy, Not High through Amazon CreateSpace, and paperback books and eBooks will be available through my website www.drmicheleross.com as well as www.Amazon.com. Paperback books ordered through Publishizer will be delivered in September, and eBooks will be delivered in August.
