Juan developed his knowledge of human behavioral science under TTI Success Insights, where he mastered his understanding of human behavior – specializing in train-the-trainer for some of the corporate world’s best, team building, coaching, and selection. In 2013, Juan created Career Blindspot to work directly with leaders and their ever changing teams. In 2019 he launched the Career Blindspot Podcast to spread the message of knowing talent, knowing culture and making no excuses in the workplace.

Juan is a Phoenix native and proud alumni of Glendale Community College, Arizona State University (where he is a career coach for select Barrett The Honors College scholars) and Walt Disney World.

Synopsis

The problem is you take your work personally. You take the symptoms of your confusion with your role out on your boss or your boss takes it out on you. Even when things work out - great performer, dream job, etc., they don't always last and to replicate seems impossible. So you blame instead of striving to clarify the truth of your work.

To do this go beyond superficial "professionalism" and learn to understand what's really going on with your roles, your peers and your peer's roles - then leverage the hell out of it! Yea I said it, a New Work Mindset is about taking advantage of our leaders and jobs. Do not misread, this is not about exploitation - it is however about letting go of the idea that others will BE YOU at work. Understand the unwritten rules of modern work and people, and redefine your work mindset!

Since 2007, I have trained a multitude of leaders to hire for the right attitude, facilitated hundreds of teams to communicate effectively, and given individuals unique insight to who they strive to be regardless of role responsibilities. By combining my science of self assessment toolset with my personal mission to eliminate workplace excuses I am able to see the evolving (or stagnant) nature of the workplace ecosystem. I do this for those ready for workplace truth.
