V-Day ’26
This Valentines day,
Can we take back the plot?
Go back to an ex?
or chasing love? def not.
Did Cupid lose funding?
Is it apps we should blame?…
Plus according to Vogue,
now “the boyfriend” is lame.
If you’re choosing yourself,
you’re not being too picky,
’cause red flags are red,
and the options seem icky.
It’s a hard no to crumbs,
and a YES to respect
No effort detected?
Exit French, Ty next!.
Happy V day to you,
No love lost, no regret…
Cus this valentines day
We are boarding the jet…
Tour Updates and Recap
Valentine's Day can be a great, or (not-so-friendly) reminder of your status…be it in a relationship, single, or in my case, that its been too long since my last update.
Valentines day…so sending you my love and gratitude for all the support on book #2. and a recap of what you may have missed (plus what’s coming next).
To refresh your memory: on June 24, 2025, we celebrated the launch of my second book, Oh, The Dudes You’ll Date, in Soho NYC. If you missed it… I forgive you. Hopefully I’ll catch you at the next one.
Because of the length of the title (and the pink velour bedazzled pants on the cover that literally say Single AF), I ended up calling the book tour “Single AF.” Which, yes, resulted in several random messages asking if I’m “still single.” LOL. Not the intention…But I guess I can see the confusion.
Steamy Summer NYC
To wrap up my summer in the city, I co-hosted another reading at a self-love rooftop sound bath, then gathered an eclectic group for what became a true “meeting of the minds” dinner — including founders of a new dating app called Cerca (friends-of-friends dating!) and the OG host of Weekend Dating speed events. I even wrote about it. Romance meets research.
September Fashion Week
By September, I was back in NYC (it’s like a new crush I can’t stay away from). I merged books with fashion, partnered with a jewelry brand that sponsored the launch, MC’d Jeffrey Ampratwum’s menswear show with Hive & Colony, and explored how fashion and dating are wildly interconnected. Because let’s be honest — the last thing you want is your style becoming your ICK.
Spooky Szn
October took me to LA — my forever ex-situationship of a city. Always there, never evolving, somehow still home. I read to a large group of women at a female founders/funders event with Sponstar and Jadeva, felt maybe too comfortable on the mic, hosted an intimate dinner in Topanga (complete with books and gifts from my sponsors), and did a signing during a DJ afternoon at Boga in Venice.
Then Art Basel happened, where my books became part of a Rivian-sponsored citywide art scavenger hunt (thank you Sponstar). After that… I hibernated. Much needed.
That quiet time led to something new: a content series I can’t fully share yet, but I’m deeply excited about. It required dusting off my TV development producer hat — one I’d put away for a while.
So… what’s next?

✈️ London, March
I’m heading to London for the month, to find my corgi Roo some love, jk… attending the International London Book Fair, moderating a panel, sitting with people over tea, and documenting the journey through writing and video. Also investigating whether Big Ben has better men (purely for research purposes).
The tour continues through Spain, Italy, and Paris, where I’ll theoretically wrap Oh The Dudes That You’ll Date, while actively taking notes for the next book.
No idea how this all unfolds — but wish me luck.
And please reach out if you’d like to collaborate along the way. I’m happy to send books to book clubs, meet for coffee, or offer thoroughly researched dating advice for those navigating frogs.
With love,
Maiana Rose 🖤
