Synopsis

As the saying goes "If I knew then what I know now I would have done things differently". In this non-fiction book, you will be guided through the personal experiences of HR professionals who have been working in various areas of the function on a daily basis. Sometimes it is better to learn from the mistakes of others and in their mistakes, we can find value and become better prepared for whatever comes our way.

In 15 years of experience as an HR professional, coach, mentor, and Agile HR practitioner Julie has coached leaders on how to get the best out of their employees at every level of the organization, but it took time for her to become great at what she does. Through her experiences, she has come to appreciate that her story can benefit others and so in this book: sharing Julie's experiences and learnings in working with good and bad leaders, recruiting and talent development as well as what she has learned from using Agile ways of working in the HR space.

Some of her fellow HR colleagues will share their experiences so that in each chapter, you will receive a journal entry of an experience we have encountered that initially caused us to feel defeated, how we triumphed over it and the lessons learned going forward. It is the author's hope that in reading this book to unite the HR community as well as educate and inspire all professionals in the HR space and beyond. It can also be used as a way to up-skill and prepare you for the trials ahead and help you to gain victories faster than others could!
