I could have never imagined that my birthday of 2023 would be as impactful and wonderful as it was!

I was able to enjoy alpaca yoga, a trip to the beautiful city of Tulum, and a permanent birthday present! While it is difficult to put into words what it feels like to be showered with love, appreciation and encouragement, I can say that it makes me extremely hopeful, even if it doesn’t readily makes sense. We were introduced to Copal, a cleansing smoke that has been used in Mayan ceremonies, and it felt familiar. 

I have been working on editing the book in order to create an advanced reader copy to help with pre-orders by having others review it on their platforms. I have also stepped out of my comfort zone and read an excerpt of it on social media, and so many people were moved and kind and complimentary about it, that I can only imagine what it will feel like when this book gets in your hands, and you give me feedback on it!

During my time in Tulum, which was extremely healing, cleansing and protective on a lot of levels, my husband booked us a day each with an extremely talented Tattoo Artist. We received more than just permanent art. For me, I was extremely inspired by the fact that the studio was beautiful, clean, and the artists worked entire shifts on drawing, painting, stenciling, placement, and giving each other feedback when they were in between clients.

Every art form has its version  of mastery, and niches yet focus, kindness, gratitude, and human connection make the endless hours of practice worth it. 

The Blade Craft Barber Bash is happening June 25th, and I hope that everyone in attendance leaves feeling the gratitude that I feel in this moment.
